We're looking for dedicated professionals who share our drive to deliver the ultimate customer experience. Reporting to your Field Manager, the Fiber Optics Technician installs fiber optic cable in residential and commercial buildings, with on-the-job training provided for outside plant (OSP) installation. Responsibilities Provide the ultimate customer experience Obtain and maintain great attention to detail Install inside wiring fiber cables from point A to point B Knowledge of tools and test equipment Place outside cables (aerial or underground) Maintain personal and company-provided tools Work in different weather conditions Work in manholes if required Maintain good condition of company vehicles Complete various tasks as requested by supervisor Rapidly adapt to new changes that may occur Be flexible for various work hours Adapt to a fast-paced environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have Team player attitude Safety awareness Self-driven attitude Great problem-solving skills Good organization skills High cleanliness standards Requirements Valid Class D Driver's License (New York State) Clean driving record — candidates must provide a current driving record abstract (DMV Certified Abstract) as part of the application/pre-employment process Travel Required as needed Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test , and consent to random drug and alcohol testing during employment Reliable vehicle to transport yourself to and from work Some experience in fiber optics wiring infrastructure or equivalent Must be legally entitled to work in the United States Fluent in English Strong mechanical and technical skills Ability to work on aerial platforms and ladders Criminal background check required Equal Opportunity Employer Fast Track Contracting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
