Job Description
Engineering Technician I
Altus Technology Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support engineering, integration, production, testing, and technical services for C5ISR systems at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF).
The Engineering Technician I will work as part of an integrated Government/Industry team supporting the development, customization, integration, installation, verification, and sustainment of communications and C5ISR equipment used across air platforms, ground mobile systems, fixed-base stations, command centers, and other mission systems.
This position provides hands-on technical support throughout the system lifecycle, including equipment preparation, system integration, cable and component support, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and configuration management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the planning, production, integration, installation, and verification of C5ISR systems and components.
- Assist with the assembly, kitting, customization, modification, and integration of equipment and subsystems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, installation drawings, equipment specifications, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Assist with system layouts, equipment installations, cable routing, interface documentation, parts lists, and technical data packages.
- Support cable fabrication and installation involving power, RF, signal, fiber, coaxial, shielded, and other cable types.
- Assist with installation checkouts, inspections, testing, verification, and troubleshooting of integrated systems.
- Support the identification and resolution of technical issues and system deficiencies.
- Assist with diagnostics and inspections of C5ISR systems and components.
- Support configuration management, technical documentation, inventory tracking, and maintenance of engineering and technical data.
- Assist with reverse engineering and validation of system and component data when required.
- Support prototype, First Article Test, acceptance testing, and other verification activities.
- Assist with equipment inventory, kitting, material preparation, and logistics supporting system integration and sustainment.
- Maintain accurate technical records and documentation associated with assigned work.
- Follow applicable DoD, NAVAIR, safety, quality, security, and configuration-management requirements.
- Travel may be required to support field installations, testing, and other mission requirements. Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to meet applicable clearance requirements.

in St. Inigoes, Maryland.- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, specifications, and related documentation.
- Ability to work with electrical, electronic, communications, mechanical, and/or C5ISR equipment.
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, integration, fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, or related technical activities is highly desirable.
- Ability to use common engineering and technical tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document technical work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a Government/Industry engineering and production team.
- Must be able to comply with applicable DoD security, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
- A valid driver's license may be required for operation of Government or Government-leased vehicles in support of assigned duties.
