Job Title:
Chassis Dyno Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Chassis Dyno Technician to oversee operations at the Allen Park Test Lab. The role involves testing 4-5 vehicles per shift on the chassis dynos and requires the candidate to be physically present in the vehicle during testing. Responsibilities include setting up exhaust equipment for emissions data collection and operating the chassis dyno effectively. Responsibilities Oversee the operation of the chassis dyno for testing vehicles. Conduct tests on 4-5 vehicles per shift. Physically drive vehicles on the chassis dyno. Set up and attach exhaust equipment for emissions data collection. Perform emissions testing and data analysis. Troubleshoot and calibrate testing equipment as needed. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience with Dyno operations. Strong automotive technical aptitude, particularly in Dyno operations. Proficient in vehicle diagnostics and test system instrumentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Dyno operations and other automotive technician roles. In-depth knowledge of CAN diagnostic and flashing tools such as DET tool and Canalyzer is desired but not required. Strong technical writing skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to present to large groups. Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Adaptability to changing requirements and a flexible work schedule. Work Environment The position is located in a clean lab setting at the Allen Park Test Lab. The candidate will initially train on the first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for 4-6 weeks, then transition to the 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Flexibility to work on other shifts, including the 3rd shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, is preferred. The work environment offers a long-term, open-ended project with anticipated growth in work demand, providing an opportunity to establish a career with a major automotive OEM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
