Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing test fixtures and test equipment in
CATIA V5
to support airbag, seatbelt, and steering wheel validation activities, including DV (Design Validation), PV (Product Validation), and LAT (Lab Acceptance Testing). The role ensures that testing equipment meets engineering and quality requirements while supporting product development, validation, and manufacturing processes through effective collaboration and technical expertise. to support airbag, seatbelt, and steering wheel testing programs. Collaborate with engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing teams to ensure test equipment meets validation requirements for DV, PV, and LAT testing . Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation while ensuring compliance with design standards and testing procedures. Apply knowledge of machining, fabrication methods, materials, and metal properties to develop robust, cost-effective, and reliable test solutions. Communicate technical information effectively across departments and global facilities, providing support for fixture development, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.If you have/are:
High School Diploma required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in fixture design, including test fixtures, holding fixtures, and attribute fixtures . Advanced proficiency inCATIA V5
, including Part Design, Assembly Design, Parametrization, Boolean Operations, and Basic Surface Design. Strong knowledge and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawing interpretation. Experience designing new test fixtures and modifying existing test equipment to support validation, testing, and manufacturing requirements. Familiarity with PLM systems for data management, transfer, and archiving; experience in automotive safety restraint systems is preferred. Spanish is a plus.
