Back V8 OBD calibration Engineer#2017378 Chelsea, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description Stellantis' On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer will have the opportunity to develop new OBD strategies for gas engine control systems. The On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer will be able to review system and software designs, generate test plans, manage vehicle/test-bench/virtual resources, and both develop and validate compliant calibrations for future propulsion system programs. The candidate will work cross functionally with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, vehicle and compliance teams. They will guide instrumentation of electrical and physical systems, utilize and review data from acquisition software (INCA) to ensure that desired diagnostic behavior is achieved. The engineer will gather functional requirements as well as required milestones to plan and execute development to achieve on-time successful product launches. Projects include working on new & legacy technologies on gasoline powered propulsion systems requiring the understanding of distributed control architectures, engine & electric motor control, interactions with energy storage and management systems. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of diagnostics basics as well as a basic understanding of internal combustion engines propulsion systems. United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering5+ year experience in OBD or emissions calibration or controlsProficient using INCA, Matlab and Simulink/StateflowBasic understanding of Internal combustion engine propulsion system hardware and functionExcellent written and verbal communication skills and business acumenSelf-motivated/proactive with strong leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to operate both independently and as part of a teamBasic computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applicationsValid Driver LicenseWillingness to work in-vehicle & inside climatic test environments

Preferred Qualifications:
