Dearborn, MI Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Talascend is currently seeking an Instrumentation Technician for an opportunity in Dearborn, Michigan. Overview The Instrumentation Technician I will be responsible for installing test equipment in development vehicles, building and calibrating sensors, transducers, fiber optics, and data acquisition systems. The role includes building low voltage wiring harnesses and working closely with team members and customers to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities Build and install low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring harnesses, auxiliary battery, and electrical systems. Install, adjust, and calibrate sensors, shunts, fiber optics, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems. Collaborate with customers, fabricators, and mechanics to identify sensor installation locations according to requirements. Assist in performing functional inspections and test proof-outs of instrumentation systems. Diagnose and repair faulty low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring systems. Work with electronic measurement tools such as power supplies, function generators, and multimeters. Maintain records by entering notes into service repair requests. Keep shop equipment operating via troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 6 months to 1 year of previous experience. Valid driver's license.
