Define calibration objectives and acceptance criteria for torque path (driver demand ¨ arbitration ¨ inverter ¨ wheel), regen blending, launch/creep, derates/limits, and drivability. . Create test plans (dyno, proving grounds, road, HIL-in-the-loop) aligned to releases; prioritize scenarios covering normal, edge, and fault cases. . Align with systems/controls on feature content, tunable parameters, and expected behaviors across environments and variants. 2) Test Execution (Dyno, Vehicle, HIL) . Conduct structured calibration runs covering torque tracking, transient response, regen smoothness, traction/ESC interactions, and thermal derate behaviors. .

validate charge-sustain targets, start/stop quality, load steps, and NVH proxies; coordinate with generator control teams. . Ensure instrumentation readiness (thermocouples, pressure, current/voltage, torque/speed) and signal validation with measurement technicians. 3) Data Analysis & Optimization . Analyze logs (MDF/BLF/CSV) and controller traces to identify gaps, constraints, or calibration conflicts; apply DOE where valuable. . Tune parameter sets to achieve responsiveness vs. smoothness, efficiency vs. thermal limits, and energy recovery vs. stability trade-offs.
Qualifications:
  • 4-8+ years in EV/HEV calibration or controls & calibration for propulsion systems; BEV experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Vector (CANape/CANoe) and/or
ETAS INCA
for calibration and data logging; comfort with A2L/HEX management.
  • Strong understanding of e-motor/inverter behavior, torque arbitration, regen strategies, and thermal derate mechanisms; familiarity with REX energy management is a plus.
  • Skilled in data analysis (MATLAB/Python), KPI creation, and experiment design (screening/DOE when applicable).
