This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronic and electromechanical systems in a highly technical engineering environment. The position is based in B loomington, MN and is on-site .

U.S. citizenship required Position Overview As the Senior Engineering Technician, you'll be responsible for supporting engineering activities involving the design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electronic and electromechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. In this role, you will build, test, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and modify components, assemblies, subsystems, and complete systems while supporting laboratory and engineering development efforts. Daily responsibilities include conducting experiments, documenting results, maintaining equipment, preparing compounds and solutions, and constructing tooling and fixtures to support unique engineering requirements. You will also help identify process improvements, analyze data to determine cause-and-effect relationships, and recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency and performance within the engineering environment. Fundamental knowledge and proficiency with engineering tools, equipment, and test instrumentation Experience building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electronic and electromechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems Ability to fabricate simple hardware as required Experience calibrating, aligning, maintaining, diagnosing, and adjusting equipment and components Computer proficiency and working knowledge of test equipment Experience documenting experiments and organizing technical data Ability to construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools and equipment using drawings, parts, and work instructions May require First Class FCC License May require
