What You'll Do:
Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation while ensuring all devices are in compliance with safety standards at Boswell Energy Center generation plant. Provide technical guidance for projects to ensure I&C specifications and standards are met. Perform I & C compliance tasks involving Continuous Emission Monitoring System according to Boswell Energy Center EPA mandated QA/QC plan: absolute correlation audits, quarterly opacity analyzer accuracy audits, calibration gas audits, gas instrument linearities and corrective maintenance procedures. Develop and optimize new or existing complex automation monitoring and process control systems. Responsible for documentation for all protocol testing standards performed at Boswell Energy Center. Recording of calibration standards, control systems modifications, and maintain all site instrument control diagrams. Requires good communication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships, high attention to detail, and good processes. Provide technical direction to operations, maintenance, management and others as control logic solutions experts.
What You'll Bring:
Education:
Minimum of two-year technical college degree with course work in electronics/electrical technologies and microprocessors or equivalent. OR Will consider an electrical maintenance degree in lieu of electronics degree with four years experience, in the Instrument and Controls field.
Experience:
Two years or more of directly related job experience, within the last 7 years . OR Two or more years of a 4-year Instrument and Control apprenticeship, within the last 7 years. •Level to be determined based on experience and qualifications.•
Special Requirements:
Position will be subject to background checks for continued North American Electric Reliability Corp (NERC) compliance. This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Will be required to successfully complete a state accredited four-year Compliance Technician Instrument and Control Apprenticeship. Compensation:
The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $45.97 - $53.15. Compensation offered will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
