Engineering Test Technician

Description seeking an Engineering Technician I - IV. This position is part of our planned lab expansion, with hiring expected to take place throughout 2026. You will have the ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth.

Your Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the

ISO 17025

standard. Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance. Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments. Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions. Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times. Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams. Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications. Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements. Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures. Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis. Implement corrective and preventative actions. Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities. Provide direction, assistance and training to other technicians (senior roles only).

Associate's degree in HVAC&R or related experience Experience related to mechanical test lab or field service (preferred) Fork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, or R410a card (preferred) Mentorship experience (preferred) Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.65 - $50.77/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
