TEC (The Energy Conservatory) is located in Oakdale, MN. We design and manufacture high quality building performance testing tools. TEC products and software are used extensively in the weatherization, home performance, HVAC, and home building industries to diagnose building performance issues and to certify performance in new construction. What You'll Do Calibrate new equipment to meet specifications before it ships Diagnose, repair and re-calibrate returned equipment Support manufacturing new products by troubleshooting issues during assembly Test and inspect circuit boards and finished assemblies for quality and function Work closely with engineering to identify design-related manufacturing issues Help maintain and improve test fixtures and calibration procedures Required Education, Experience & Skills Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience 2+ years in electronics repair, calibration, or manufacturing test/troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams Proficiency using test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for precision work Preferred Experience & Skills Experience with surface mount (SMT) and through-hole rework and soldering Experience calibrating instruments to established procedures Background in electro-mechanical systems or sensor-based devices Experience with embedded electronics or low-voltage DC circuits Experience working in a small manufacturing or product development environment Why Join TEC? Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$60,000 - $85,000, based on experience Retirement funding (SEP-IRA, similar to a 401(k)) Health Insurance, Flexible Spending Account, and HSA 9 paid annual holidays, plus vacation and personal time off Discretionary annual bonus TEC will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided.
