Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Fiber Optic Field Technician to join our team. This role focuses on residential fiber installations, troubleshooting, and customer service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering clean, high-quality work while representing the company with professionalism. ⸻

Key Responsibilities:

• Install fiber optic internet services in residential homes (aerial and underground)
• Perform fiber splicing, termination, and testing
• Run and secure drop lines from tap to home
• Mount and configure ONTs, routers, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot service issues and perform repairs as needed
• Ensure proper signal levels and system performance
• Educate customers on their new service and equipment
• Maintain accurate job documentation and reporting
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards ⸻

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fiber optics, telecom, or low-voltage installation preferred
• Familiarity with fiber splicing and hand tools
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills ⸻ Preferred Skills (Not Required):
• Experience with FTTH systems
• Certifications in fiber optics or telecommunications ⸻
