This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with proven RV service experience, strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, and wood shop or finish-carpentry skills. The Lead Service Technician will work primarily on the service line, helping ensure each customer's vehicle is repaired correctly, efficiently, and to the quality standard expected from 27North. When service needs allow, this person will also support the production floor with repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and build completion work. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day service work, including diagnosing, repairing, testing, and documenting customer, warranty, and internal repair needs. Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on 12V and 120V systems, including batteries, inverters, chargers, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, control panels, appliances, and related components. Diagnose and repair RV plumbing systems, including tanks, pumps, water lines, fittings, fixtures, drains, and grey-water systems. Complete interior repairs, modifications, and upgrades using wood shop, cabinetry, trim, and finish-carpentry skills. Troubleshoot fit-and-finish, structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and vehicle integration issues. Inspect completed work to ensure repairs are safe, functional, clean, and consistent with 27North quality standards before release. Communicate repair findings, parts needs, estimated timelines, and potential delays clearly to the Service Manager or Production Manager. Coordinate work priorities and help guide other technicians on service repairs and best practices. Maintain accurate service notes, photos, parts lists, and repair documentation as required. Help manage service bay organization, tools, materials, and a clean, safe work environment. Support the production floor as needed, including final-stage repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and completion of vehicles in process. Mentor and support technicians while setting a high standard for craftsmanship, accountability, safety, and customer care.
Qualifications Required:
Previous hands-on experience in the RV service industry, including diagnosis and repair of RV electrical, plumbing, appliances, and interior systems.Required:
Strong electrical experience, including the ability to diagnose and repair both 12V DC and 120V AC systems.Required:
Wood shop, cabinetry, finish carpentry, or custom interior fabrication experience. 5+ years of related hands-on service, construction, RV, automotive, marine, or custom vehicle experience preferred. Experience leading work, training others, or serving as a senior technician is strongly preferred. Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, work orders, repair instructions, and build specifications. Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify root causes rather than only addressing symptoms. Dependable, organized, safety-minded, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently while communicating well with service, production, parts, and leadership teams. Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as needed and work in a shop and production environment. Preferred Qualifications RVTI certification or other relevant RV service certifications. Experience with luxury RVs, expedition vehicles, custom vans, marine systems, or other high-end custom-built products. Experience with warranty repairs, customer-facing service work, or service documentation systems.Pay:
