Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Aerial FiberTechnician to join our team! Willing to train the right candidates! A strong work ethic and dependability are a must! If you thrive on problem-solving, working outdoors, and supporting critical communication systems, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Install, splice, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables Climb poles, towers, or structures using proper climbing techniques to perform cable drops and equipment installs Use hand tools and power tools to prepare work sites, secure cabling, and assemble telecommunication components Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company protocols while maintaining a clean work environment Skills Knowledge of fiber splicing, and cabling techniques preferred Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction safety practices Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance in outdoor or construction settings Proficient Customer Service skills, maintaining a professional and courteous approach Must be able to lift/pull up minimum of 75 lbs , climb ladders, work in confined areas or elevated heights, willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must have your own reliable transportation (Van, SUV, or truck required), current auto insurance, and a valid driver's license. Earnings are based on production. Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Will consider training the right candidates if no experience in some areas listed above. This position is a contract job and requires daily travel within Mississippi. This is mostly within a 50-mile radius of Hattiesburg, MS but further job sites may arise. Common areas for current jobsites include, but not limited to, Petal, Ellisville, Laurel, Waynesboro, Taylorsville, Shubuta, Buckatanna, Seminary, Soso, Bay Springs, Heidelberg. Must be able to pass background check. This is a 1099, independent contractor position. No benefits.
