About the Role As an Industrial Automation Maintenance Specialist, you will serve as a critical technical resource for our production environment, focusing on the diagnostic and corrective maintenance of complex control systems. You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime by leveraging your expertise in PLC logic and electrical troubleshooting to ensure our machinery operates at peak efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and control system failures to restore production throughput. Utilize programming software to interface with PLCs, interpret ladder logic, and isolate the root cause of machine stoppages. Perform detailed diagnostics on field devices, including VFDs, photoeyes, sensors, and various analog/digital I/O modules. Analyze electrical schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate rapid repairs on both legacy and modern equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate repair status and prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational impact. Execute proactive maintenance and support system upgrades to enhance long-term equipment reliability. Distinguish between electrical control faults and mechanical failures to ensure the correct maintenance approach is applied. Qualifications Required Skills 8+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on electrical and controls systems. Proven proficiency in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including PLC-5 and ControlLogix/5000. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and machine documentation. Strong technical aptitude for diagnosing issues in environments with limited or outdated documentation. Hands-on experience with VFDs, sensors, and industrial control instrumentation. Preferred Skills Background in mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Experience working in high-speed manufacturing or heavy industrial environments. Strong analytical mindset for complex problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
