Job Description

Combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical circuits for the installation, operation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of electro/mechanical systems associated with facilities and production equipment. Involves working with engineers to develop electrical/mechanical systems in support of product and production line work.
Working Procedure :
Align, fit, or assemble component parts to complete a system Assemble and repair hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies Operate metal working machines (Drill press, band saws, etc.) Test Electro-mechanical assemblies for proper operation Read manufacturing outlines for electronic products, read schematics, read technical drawings Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects Gains job specific expertise through various sources (e.g. on-the-job training, trade publications, vendor publications and manuals, etc.) Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings — Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems Observe, record, and report unsafe working conditions Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of formal technical training (via military or civilian technical schools) desired.
Experience Requirement:
Two years of electrical or mechanical experience required.
