Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our advanced manufacturing systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving plastic injection molding machines, automated equipment, and related systems. Your expertise in electrical systems and PLC-controlled automation will be critical to our success. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair plastic injection molding presses and related support equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain automated equipment, including hot runner systems, robots, vision systems, and PLC-controlled machinery, ensuring seamless operation. Respond to equipment faults and alarms, swiftly restoring equipment to safe and effective operation. Support mold changes and equipment adjustments, contributing to continuous production and equipment readiness. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, ensuring optimal equipment performance. Implement corrective actions to address recurring equipment failures, enhancing overall reliability. Execute preventive maintenance tasks to prevent failures and improve equipment uptime. Document maintenance activities and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely repairs and support. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Proven experience supporting plastic injection molding equipment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems. Experience supporting automated equipment, controls, or robotics. Preferred Skills Senior-level or journeyman-level industrial maintenance experience. Technical training in electrical, mechatronics, or industrial maintenance. Experience supporting robots, automated work cells, vision systems, and PLC-controlled automation. Background in developing or improving preventive maintenance programs. Experience supporting mold changes and troubleshooting molding-process-related equipment issues.
