About The Company SLG Services, Inc. performs turnkey outside-plant (OSP) telecom construction — aerial and underground placement, fiber and coax splicing, testing and restoration — as a single self-performing partner to leading communications providers. The Role Production-rate fiber splicer responsible for producing end-to-end fiber optic networks — splicing, testing and troubleshooting continuity to deliver clean light levels. Responsibilities
  • Splice and produce end-to-end fiber optic networks at production rates.
  • Test and troubleshoot fiber continuity; resolve common fiber network issues.
  • Prep fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.).
  • Operate fusion splicer and test equipment: OTDR (1310/1550), DWDM/CWDM, OLTS, power meter.
  • Read design documentation; understand light levels and dB loss; maintain splicing records. Qualifications
  • 3+ yrs fiber splicing & troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of fiber design and documentation.
  • Valid driver's license; able to work aerial/underground & varied shifts. Company Values
