The Instrument Technician will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine calibration activities on manufacturing, laboratory, utility, and facility instrumentation while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, cGMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with calibration equipment, instrumentation, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Perform routine, preventive, and corrective calibration activities on pharmaceutical manufacturing and facility instrumentation.

Calibrate and troubleshoot instruments including:

Incubators Refrigerator/ Freezers Controlled Rate Freezers Scales/ Balances Tube Welder/ Tube Sealers Temperature sensors and transmitters Pressure transmitters and gauges Differential pressure instruments Flow meters and transmitters Level sensors and transmitters pH and conductivity instruments Load cells and scales Humidity sensors Tachometers Timers Analytical and laboratory instruments Process monitoring instrumentation Perform calibration activities in accordance with approved SOPs, calibration procedures, and manufacturer specifications. Use precision calibration equipment such as multifunction calibrators, pressure calibrators, temperature baths, electrical meters, and other test equipment. Document calibration results accurately and ensure all calibration records are complete and traceable. Investigate and troubleshoot instruments that fail calibration or fall outside established acceptance criteria. Initiate and support Out-of-Tolerance (OOT) investigations when required. Perform adjustments and minor repairs to instrumentation as necessary. Generate, update, and close maintenance and calibration work orders in the site's CMMS system. Ensure work orders are accurately documented and closed out in a timely manner. Record calibration results, as-found/as-left data, equipment condition, corrective actions, and required follow-up activities. Apply calibration labels and ensure equipment identification and calibration status are properly maintained. Perform preventive maintenance activities on instrumentation and control systems. Respond to equipment and instrumentation breakdowns and provide timely troubleshooting support. Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Automation, and Metrology teams. Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and qualification activities. activities and validation activities when required. Review calibration procedures, equipment manuals, P&IDs, drawings, and technical documentation. Maintain calibration standards and test equipment in accordance with established requirements. Ensure calibration standards are within their required calibration period before use. Follow all applicable cGMP, GxP, safety, and data-integrity requirements . Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with ALCOA+ principles . Support audits and inspections by providing calibration records and technical documentation when required. Identify recurring instrumentation issues and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability. Participate in continuous improvement and maintenance reliability initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred. 2 or more years of instrumentation, calibration, metrology, maintenance, or controls experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience performing calibration of process and facility instrumentation. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation. Experience using calibration standards and test equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to accurately document technical work and calibration results. Experience using a CMMS/work-order management system . Ability to work independently and prioritize work based on production and compliance requirements. Required Experience Hands-on experience performing instrument calibration . Experience troubleshooting process instrumentation. Experience documenting calibration results and completing calibration records. Experience creating and/or closing maintenance and calibration work orders . Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment. Understanding of cGMP/GxP requirements . Ability to follow SOPs and established calibration procedures. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and process utilities.

Pay:

$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
