What Our Work Looks Like This is a full-time position based in the Hobbs, NM area, supporting operations throughout the Permian Basin. We seek Instrument Technicians with relevant commercial, industrial, and oilfield experience. With a consistent focus on safety, cost control, and client satisfaction, the Instrument Technician will also have a history of producing quality work with attention to detail that meets or exceeds client needs. Selected candidates can be expected to: Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters Inspect, test, and troubleshoot control valves and actuators (Kimray or equivalent), diagnosing faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic test equipment and precision calibration tools (HART communicators, deadweight testers, calibration pumps) Install and maintain process control instrumentation on production equipment including separators, treaters, and tank batteries Perform mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification, including removal and installation of small-bore piping, tubing, and fittings Rebuild and calibrate transmitters and control valves, and tune loop controllers for accurate process response Support EFM/EGM (electronic flow/gas measurement) equipment and assist with AGA-standard measurement compliance where applicable Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on instrumentation andmeasurement equipment Complete all required written and electronic documentation of work in progress and as completed, including work orders, maintenance reports, calibration records, and material requests Qualifications Instrument Technician with hands-on field experience calibrating and repairing pressure, temperature, level, and flow instrumentation in an oilfield or industrial setting is a must Working knowledge of loop tuning, control valve diagnostics, and HART-based calibration tools Technical school diploma or certification in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field preferred Familiarity with EFM/EGM measurement equipment an asset Strong computer skills with a high level of interest in learning Noralta's proprietary applications Current H2S Alive certification and OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain) would be an asset Personal Qualities Proud of the work that you do Go the extra mile to finish what you start Openly share your ideas Clear respect and support for the complementary trades Ability to see around the corner — taking a safe approach in everything that you do Additional Details Comprehensive company benefit plan Company vehicle (fully tooled) Tool allowance Please Note For your safety and the safety of everyone around you, the following will be required: Valid Driver's License and clean Driving Record Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing Pre-employment Background and Social Media Check Two professional references We thank all applicants for their interest in Noralta Technologies USA, but only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
