Job Description
Fiber Optic Technician I PRT Staffing | Santa Teresa, NM?
Assist with fiber splicing, termination, and testing activities.
Perform basic troubleshooting and testing using fiber optic equipment.
Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
Support senior technicians and project leads on installation projects.
Follow all site safety requirements and company procedures.
Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment. QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.
Telecommunications, construction, electrical, or utility experience preferred.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to learn fiber optic installation, testing, and splicing techniques.
Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings. Physical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday.
Comfortable working outdoors and at heights when required.
Ability to travel to project locations as needed.
