Temp to Hire Job overview Senior technicians install, maintain and support IT, communications systems and robotics systems on our customers sites. This role involves working on electrical and electronics systems on heavy mobile equipment and high sites on mine sites around Elko, NV, with occasional travel to other sites in the USA. Senior technicians troubleshoot and support these systems on both a networking and electrical level and are responsible for the hardware build out and configuration of these systems. Key Responsibilities Hardware Installation and maintenance- Electrical Light Current AC and DC
- Copper and Fiber Network Cabling
- RF Cable Assembly
- Installation of networking hardware, instrumentation and power systems.
- Able to work with technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Configuration
- Configuration of core network devices
- Configuration of wireless network devices
- Configuration of 5G private LTE systems
- Configuration of power systems and monitoring systems.
Troubleshooting:
- Systematic troubleshooting
- Networking knowledge to troubleshoot network issues (understanding subnetting, ping, ARP tables, network routing, VLAN.
- Computer skills to comprehend and troubleshoot computer events/errors, software troubleshooting, hardware troubleshooting, driver troubleshooting.
- Electrical troubleshooting
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of system failures, resolutions, system or installation documentation updatesEquipment Maintenance:
Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve processes and resolve production issues. Requirements- Associate's degree or certification in networking, electrical engineering, or related fields is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in instrumentation, networking, or related fields.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Strong Networking skills
- Familiarity with automation systems
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment such as multimeters
- Familiarity with DC systems 12 - 48V, especially in automotive field.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred
- Experience with automated equipment or robotics preferred
- Familiarity with large network deployments preferred
- Working at heights preferred
- MSHA preferred
- Provide own tools Pay and benefits
- $36 - $42 per hour
- 80 hours paid PTO per year worked
- 10 paid holidays per year
- 401 K (100% of your contributions up to 3% of your salary, then 50% of the next 2% of your salary), eligible after 6 months of employment.
- Medical insurance (80% of your contributions, 25% of your dependents contributions), eligible immediately on full-time employment.
