Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Building Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation, maintenance, and safety of our commercial facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs to uphold a high standard of facility performance. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters Conduct welding, carpentry, maintenance painting, and other mechanical repairs to support building operations Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical panels Use hand tools and electrical testing devices to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently Assist with building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry work Support maintenance operations by following safety protocols, updating maintenance logs, and documenting repairs clearly for future reference Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations with a focus on commercial environments Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance and repair Skilled in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical circuits using schematics and testing devices like ohmmeters Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; welding experience is a plus Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment repair techniques Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer service interactions Ability to read technical schematics and perform building interior maintenance tasks such as painting or carpentry Experience with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) practices to ensure ongoing facility functionality Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Commercial Building Technician to make a tangible impact on the safety and efficiency of our facilities.
