Full Job Description Overview:
It is the responsibility of the Hotel Engineer to respond to calls throughout the property; troubleshoot and repair the items as needed. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities:
Must be knowledgeable is all aspects of Hotel Operations Maintenance. Must have at least two years experience in plumbing - toilet repair and replacement, faucet repair and replacement, and snaking drains. Two years electrical experience, rewiring lamps, outlets and smoke alarms. Maintain lighting in rooms and hallways as needed. Having working knowledge in HVAC, locks, televisions, and electronic safes. Must be personable and clean in appearance and good working with the public. Willing to work on call for emergencies, holidays and weekends. Perform other duties as requested. Must be willing to work holidays and all shifts and days off are to be determined. Respond to fire alarms. Communicate on a two way radio.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Excellent analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate. Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required. Related degree preferred or accredited certification. 2 years experience. Minimum age requirement is 21 Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities. Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
