Golf Cart Builder - From bare bones to badass, help craft the coolest carts on wheels

POSITION SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, the cart builder is responsible for the building of custom golf carts to customer requirements. This must be done to the highest of standards. Some basic electrical and mechanical knowledge is required with the ability to fabricate small parts as needed. Basic maintenance and repair skills would be required to service carts and ensure they are fully safe once built which would include inspection, diagnosis, overhaul, adjustment, repair, build, fabrication or modification. As Cartbarn continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated cart builder.

OBJECTIVES

Building new and used golf cars, utility vehicles to customer specifications Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on golf carts Onsite services to be completed remotely utilizing the service van. Complete all work in a timely fashion based on available parts, priority and scheduling per metrics All work is completed to the required work standards per metrics and maintains the required productive time requirements. Customer reworks to be below the standard as set by position metrics. Perform basic repairs to carts including preparing, cleaning and preparing the Rental fleet Maintains appropriate build record, including managing stock control Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance Proactively seeks out work to be accomplished to further the productivity and profitability of the business Presents self in professional, clean and appropriate manner with accurate timekeeping Ensure work area and overall facilities are clean, organized and presentable

Comfortable with getting creative with customer repairs and able to build custom solutions to problems Ability to communicate in a polite and professional manner Understand and follow detailed instruction accurately Ability to be accurate in taking notes on work completed including logging parts used Ability to meet service targets to maintain revenue goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

Basic hand tools, mechanical and electrical knowledge with an ability to learn.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, regularly lifting equipment (up to 75 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, kneeling or walking. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction and automotive trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and have the ability to function and operate and perform safely on a forklift, ladder or any other OSHA standards.
