CNC Technical Support Specialist Akron, NY | $25-27/hour Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Contract-to-Hire Join a Leader in CNC Machinery & Industrial Automation Are you a hands-on technical professional with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, CNC machines, or automated manufacturing systems? We're seeking a CNC Technical Support Specialist to join a respected manufacturer of precision sheet metal fabrication equipment and industrial automation solutions. In this role, you'll serve as the technical expert supporting customers, service technicians, and engineering teams. If you enjoy solving complex electrical and mechanical issues, working with advanced manufacturing technology, and helping customers keep equipment running at peak performance, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career. What You'll Do Provide technical support for CNC machinery, machine tools, and automated manufacturing equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and operational issues. Support customers and field service technicians with equipment repairs and performance concerns. Interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and product documentation. Collaborate with Engineering teams to resolve hardware, software, and design-related challenges. Develop repair procedures and recommend replacement solutions for equipment components. Create and communicate technical service bulletins, product updates, and maintenance procedures. Deliver technical training to service personnel and customers. Assist with spare parts identification and ordering. Gather field performance data and contribute to product improvement initiatives. Build strong customer relationships through professional and solution-focused communication. What We're Looking For Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, CNC machines, machine tools, automation systems, or similar equipment. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering and service teams. Technical school training, military mechanical/electrical experience, or related industry experience preferred.
