This position will report through the production maintenance organization. What You'll Do Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla Lead station/tool install/build projects for maintenance and engineering teams. Provide comments/improvements to designs based on experience and field conditions. Support Large Scale Maintenance projects including PMs, machine installs, etc. Assist in creation and maintenance of associated documentation. Respond quickly to resolve unanticipated equipment problems Troubleshoot root cause of tool errors and substandard performance in a cost-effective manner. This includes but not limited to: PLC troubleshooting, electro-mechanical systems, components, electronic sensors and switches Work with Production and Manufacturing Engineering team to optimize tool performance and related continuous improvement activities Participate and lead tool escalations, tool installations and/or upgrades. Interface effectively with vendors and their field service engineer's onsite or via telephone support Attend corporate training and meetings. Support other projects as needed by management as business needs change What You'll Bring 5+ years of relevant experience in both mechanical and electrical equipment building or modification Prior machine builder/integrator experience preferred Rigging training and experience Skilled trades certificate and/or relevant military experience preferred. Associate's degree in engineering or technology is a plus Working knowledge of sensors, switches, lasers, dispensers, robotics, and conveyance systems Demonstrated safe work practices, able to lift up to 60 lbs.
