Job Summary:

The Metrology Specialist supports laboratory operations by performing qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for analytical and process instrumentation, with a priority focus on regulated equipment. This role helps maintain equipment lifecycle documentation, supports software validation activities, and contributes to instrument readiness and operational continuity.

What You'll Be Doing:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair activities for laboratory instrumentation and equipment Install and qualify new equipment and coordinate vendor installation and qualification when needed Troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment issues, diagnose root causes, and complete repairs when appropriate or coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to minimize downtime Maintain lifecycle documentation, calibration records, standard operating procedures, and audit-ready equipment files in accordance with applicable procedures Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs, risk assessments, and inventory records for instruments, consumables, and spare parts Support software validation activities in collaboration with vendors and internal information technology teams Take initiative to investigate technical issues through self-study and problem solving while escalating complex issues to metrology leadership when needed

What We Are Looking For:

Associate's Degree in electronics or mechanical technology or closely related field required Experience working in a regulated environment such as good manufacturing practice Related hands-on experience in calibration and repair of measuring and test equipment Related hands-on experience troubleshooting laboratory equipment, diagnosing issues, and helping resolve process problems Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for
