Patterson, NY Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00PM Pay Rate:
$24.00/hour About the Opportunity We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join a growing team supporting the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced RF and electronic components used in aerospace, military, and defense radar systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with electronics troubleshooting experience who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a career supporting cutting-edge defense technologies. You'll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams while gaining exposure to highly specialized RF products and testing equipment. Key Responsibilities Electronics Testing & Troubleshooting Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on printed circuit boards (PCBs), couplers, and RF assemblies. Diagnose and repair analog and digital circuits at the component level. Identify root causes of failures and implement effective repairs. Verify product performance through testing and inspection activities. Assembly & Manufacturing Support Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical devices. Follow engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions. Support production builds while maintaining quality and performance standards. Ensure products meet customer and military specifications. Test Equipment Operation Utilize electronic test equipment including: Oscilloscopes Multimeters Voltmeters Network Analyzers Signal Analyzers Other diagnostic and RF testing equipment Perform electrical testing and validation of completed assemblies. Document test results and troubleshooting activities.Technical Documentation Read and interpret:
Schematics Wiring diagrams Engineering drawings CAD drawings Maintain accurate records of repairs, testing activities, and quality documentation. Follow standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions. Required Qualifications Education Technical Trade School Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field OR Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline Experience 1+ year of manufacturing experience. 1+ year of experience performing component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies. Experience testing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment. Technical Skills Strong electronics and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Understanding of analog and digital circuits. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology. Experience working with RF or microwave components.Familiarity with:
RF Couplers RF Combiners Power Dividers Network Analyzers Aerospace or defense industry experience. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Why Join This Opportunity? Standard schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Work includes a combination of bench testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and shop floor support. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Patterson, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
