Inc Rochester, NY Job Details Full-time $23 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Sawing Schematics Driver's License Attention to detail Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Overview Harmco Fastener is looking for a skilled, hands-on Power Tool & Small Tool Repair Technician to join our team at our Rochester location. This role focuses on repairing battery-operated, corded, and pneumatic tools used by contractors every day. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. The technician will primarily work from our Rochester repair shop but may occasionally travel to customer jobsites or locations for tool pickup and delivery. Duties Diagnose and repair battery-operated, corded, and pneumatic power tools (drills, impacts, saws, grinders, rotary hammers, nailers, compressors, etc.) Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues Disassemble tools and identify worn or failed components Replace parts such as motors, switches, cords, batteries, bearings, seals, hoses, and brushes Test all tools to ensure proper performance before returning to customer Maintain clear and accurate repair records including parts, labor, and repair notes Communicate repair timelines and updates with customers and internal staff Maintain timely turnaround and completion of repairs to minimize customer downtime Keep the repair shop clean, organized, and efficient Assist with parts ordering and inventory management for the repair department Occasionally travel to customer locations for tool pickup and delivery Experience Mechanical/Electrical repair experience or similar field preferred Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic) Ability to read parts diagrams and schematics Experience with major power tool brands Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Valid driver's license What You'll Be Working On Battery-operated, corded, and pneumatic tools Contractor-grade jobsite equipment Battery systems and charging equipment Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 lbs Ability to stand and work with tools throughout the day
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
