Job Description
Electronics Technician Brookhaven National Laboratory $85,500.00
- $128,883.
Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair complex power supply and other electronic systems using test equipment. Support the development and construction of prototype power supplies and other electronic equipment. Repair and replace components and circuit boards in electronic systems. Support operations and troubleshoot power supply and control systems. Proficient with schematics and mechanical assembly drawings. Maintain and implement safety practices and procedures applicable to daily activities. Overtime work, including emergency call-in, required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus:- a BS degree in a technical field and 4 years work experience or;
- a technical institute, Adult BOCES certification, AA degree in a technical field, CCI program completion at BNL plus 8 years experience or;
- a technical high school certification program (eg. BOCES) and 9 years relevant work experience or;
- 10 years relevant work experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus:- a BS degree in a technical field and 4 years work experience or;

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Continuous walking / standing Must be able to climb a ladder and work at heights up to 30 feet Ability to speak, hear and understand speech Hand / eye coordination Good vision and hand dexterity Will be required to occasionally work off-hours, nights and/or weekends to support mission critical projectsOther Information:
This is an onsite position. Brookhaven Laboratory is committed to providing fair, equitable and competitive compensation. This is a multi-level role and the full salary range for this position is $85,500.00- $128,883.
