MECHANIC, (WG-2610-13) is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibre, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integred electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. The worker in this career field must demonstre the ability to perform on- or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integred systems associed with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigion systems. : Experience or training which demonstres the applicant's knowledge to perform duties such as, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibre, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes. Ability to collect and analyze da effectively, efficiently, and accurely. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting merial. Ability to communice clearly and effectively. : At least 12 months of specialized experiences working as an Electronic Integred Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12, and must possess the craftsman level of knowledge and skills to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibre, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integred electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. Experiences included the ability and skills to perform on-or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integred systems associed with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on systems such as, automic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigion systems. Experienced in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi complex electronic integred systems. Experiences included completing operional checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of line-replaceable units which are linked with integred systems and line-replaceable-units which are independent or associed with nonintegred systems. Must have skilled capabilities of isoling unusual malfunctions using technical orders, schemics, wiring diagrams, tools, and test equipment including automic test equipment and flight line test systems. Skilled in solving complex problems by analyzing installion, circuitry, and opering characteristics of the systems. Experiences involved adjusting and aligning system sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, transponders, actuors, servos, computers and other reled components. Skilled in the installion of serviceable components into aircraft and performed total systems alignment and harmonizion in accordance with existing technical orders and directives. Experienced and skilled in completing technical order compliances, completing component and system modificions, and performing thorough system checks for correct operions. Skilled in maintaining, modifying, calibring, and inspecting a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. Experienced in performing installions, modificions, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, aligning, and calibring complete electronic avionics multi-system controls. Must have a thorough working knowledge of complex aircraft avionics or electronic circuit maintenance systems such as, the electronics package in highly automed aircraft where the integred flight and integred countermeasures system, electronic multiplex communicions bus, inertial navigion system, multi-function displays, head-up display, da transfer equipment, global positioning system, situion awareness da-link, da modem, flight control system, pivot-stic system and reled instrumention, flight director instrumention, central air da computer, engine, hydraulic and fuel quantity indicing systems, voice message warning, various modes of da, intercom, secure voice communicions, identificion friend or foe, and tactical air navigion system. Experienced in evaluing operional characteristics of the integred systems by observing and analyzing waveforms, voltage, current, power indicions, computer registers and printouts. Skilled in analyzing the malfunctions encountered through fault codes, determining repair sequence process and performing required repairs. Experiences involved reviewing and analyzing maintenance da; determines if criteria are sufficient to provide adeque test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; devises and recommends tests, procedural changes, or da corrections. Skilled in performing alignments, adjustments, and conducting final calibrions on integred systems to determine successful repairs. Experienced in monitoring the operions of complex, inter-reled systems, analyzing opering trends, and proposing preventive maintenance down time. Skilled in the applicions of technical da and equipment specificions th determine the impact equipment modificions or substitutions on integred multi-system operions and various maintenance alignment procedures. Competent in using algebraic and trigonometric functions to adapt standard formulas to the specific requirements of the integred system. Experiences involved the installion, operion, and repair work on prototypes or experimental electronic systems such as, inertial navigion or automic flight control.
