Compensation:
$28 to $45 per hour A commercial electronic security integration company is hiring an Electronic Security Technician to support access control, CCTV/IP video, and radar system work across commercial and industrial client sites. Depending on experience level, this role may focus on enterprise access control programming and commissioning, on-site installation and upgrades with regional travel, or dedicated on-site support for a single large client in Akron. Placement within these focus areas is based on the candidate's background and experience. Schedule Primarily based in Akron, OH, with some assignments requiring overnight travel during the week across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. No weekend travel required. Compensation $28 to $45 per hour, based on experience and role focus. What You'll Do The Electronic Security Technician works on access control, CCTV/IP video, and ground-based radar systems for commercial and industrial clients. Depending on experience and assignment, responsibilities range from programming and commissioning enterprise-level access control systems on platforms such as Software House, Lenel, Genetec, S2, ProWatch, and Avigilon, to installing and upgrading systems in the field for a major industrial client with multi-state locations, to providing dedicated on-site technical support for a large client in Akron. More senior technicians are typically assigned to programming and commissioning work, while technicians earlier in their career are typically assigned to installation and field support work. Required Qualifications 2 or more years of commercial electronic security installation or technician experience Experience with at least one of the following: access control systems, CCTV/IP video, or security system installation Valid driver's license Willingness to travel overnight during the week if assigned to a field-based role Preferred Qualifications 3 or more years of experience programming enterprise-level access control platforms (Software House, Lenel, Genetec, S2, ProWatch, or Avigilon) Experience with ground-based radar or perimeter detection systems Manufacturer certifications in access control or video management platforms Experience working as an embedded or dedicated on-site technician for a single client Compensation and Benefits $28 to $45 per hour, based on experience and role focus Take-home vehicle and gas card for field-based assignments Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid industry certifications and ongoing training To apply, submit your resume detailing your electronic security systems experience.
