Full Job Description CNC Laser Cutting & Fabrication Technician Pay Rate:

$20.00

•$25.00 per hour

•Friday; 8am

•4:30pm Seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Laser Cutting & Fabrication Technician to operate CNC laser cutting equipment and support sheet metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves producing precision components from stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety. Responsibilities Operate CNC laser cutting equipment, including fiber laser systems. Load, unload, stage, and properly handle sheet metal materials. Cut stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metal materials to specified dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and cut lists. Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting. Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall part quality. Perform secondary fabrication processes including deburring, grinding, forming, and material preparation. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Follow established production, quality control, and safety procedures. Work closely with welding, fabrication, assembly, and other manufacturing teams. Identify production or equipment issues and communicate problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Meet production schedules while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment, working in metal fabrication, or in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience working with sheet metal, stainless steel, carbon steel, and/or aluminum. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to use calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring instruments. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Preferred Skills Experience operating fiber laser equipment. Experience with Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, Mazak, or similar CNC laser systems. CNC machine operation experience. CAD/CAM or nesting software experience. Press brake, forming, or general sheet metal fabrication experience. Experience with deburring, grinding, or other secondary fabrication processes. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
