On-the-Road Service Mechanic Maumee Valley Group - Florida, OH Position Summary Maumee Valley Group is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined On-the-Road Service Mechanic to service, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment at customer locations. This position works with a variety of commercial equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, coolers, coffee machines, kiosks, touchscreens, and other electronic equipment. The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, is comfortable with technology, and can troubleshoot problems independently in the field. Schedule & Compensation Full-Time Monday-Friday Starting at 6:00 AM Typically 8-10 hours per day, depending on service calls and workload $22/hour, based on experience Overtime opportunities as needed Take-home company vehicle provided Workday begins in Florida, Ohio Local and regional travel to customer locations is required Responsibilities Travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment. Troubleshoot and service refrigerators, freezers, coolers, coffee machines, and other food/beverage equipment. Perform basic HVAC and refrigeration troubleshooting. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including wiring, connections, switches, and components. Perform basic plumbing troubleshooting, including water lines, drains, leaks, and connections. Troubleshoot kiosks, touchscreens, monitors, payment systems, and other technology-based equipment. Use tablets, phones, software, and other technology to document service calls and troubleshoot equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections. Identify parts or equipment needed for repairs. Maintain accurate service records and document completed work. Communicate professionally with customers and MVG management. Maintain and properly use company tools, equipment, and vehicle. Follow all company safety procedures. Assist with other mechanical and service-related tasks as needed. Qualifications Clean driving record. At least 21 years of age. Previous mechanical, maintenance, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or service technician experience preferred. Strong basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Comfortable working with computers, tablets, mobile devices, kiosks, touchscreens, and other technology. Ability to learn new equipment and technology quickly. Able to work independently and manage multiple service calls throughout the day. Strong attention to detail. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to travel throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and parts as required.
