PURPOSE OF POSITION

Tear down, clean, decontaminate, inspect, repair, assemble, and test customer repair pumps in accordance with customer, engineering, quality, and service requirements. Document inspection and repair activity, enter required information in the REACT app, complete applicable paperwork, and support assembly and machining operations as needed. Under the direction of the Aftermarket Parts & Service Manager, provide technical support for evaluating repair products, assessing repair requirements, and communicating with customers regarding order status, schedules, upgrades, and aftermarket opportunities. Coordinate with manufacturing operations to help ensure parts and materials are available to meet customer delivery requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Disassemble customer repair pumps and related components for inspection, cleaning, decontamination, repair, and rebuild.
• Clean and decontaminate pumps and parts in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, clearance, fit, and overall condition using appropriate measuring tools and methods.
• Document inspection findings, repair activity, required parts, and final repair status on applicable forms and in the REACT app.
• Reassemble, troubleshoot, and test highly engineered pumps to meet customer requirements.
• Fit parts to specifications using blueprints, drawings, repair requirements, and precision measuring equipment.
• Perform required assembly activities, including tubing, bolting, fastening, wiring, oil fill, potting, gas checks, and electrical testing.
• Perform final inspections before moving pumps, parts, or assemblies to the next operation or final disposition.
• Operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, drill presses, and related equipment, to support repair, rework, and manufacturing needs.
• Read and interpret technical documents to determine repair, assembly, tooling, setup, and machining requirements.
• Set up, align, secure, and measure workpieces, tooling, and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Make manual machine adjustments or corrections as required to bring parts into specification.
• Maintain machines, tooling, parts, work areas, and repair equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• Perform routine equipment care and promptly report issues with tools, machines, fixtures, or repair equipment.
• Coordinate with supervision, planning, engineering, quality, service, and manufacturing personnel regarding repair findings, deviations, and customer requirements.
• Support repair scope development, failure analysis, warranty review, repair methods, cost estimates, and standard repair procedures.
• Use REACT and Epicor ERP to support receiving, sales orders, repair jobs, inspection reports, documentation, serial number records, and repair recommendations.
• Assist with repair order production and materials planning, aftermarket parts sales, inventory control, and cross-facility process alignment as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and help train production employees on repair-related equipment, tools, fixtures, and methods as requested.
• Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and work instruction requirements; use equipment, lifting devices, tools, and materials properly; and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, trade school, or equivalent mechanical experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a service department, build-to-order manufacturing, highly engineered manufacturing, pump repair, mechanical assembly, manual machining, or related industrial service environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, repair instructions, inspection documentation, and related technical data.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and related inspection tools.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office products, electronic documentation, and accurate data entry.
• Ability to document work clearly and accurately using paper forms and electronic systems, including the REACT app.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, practical problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills across departments, with strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to perform effectively in urgent or critical situations while maintaining accuracy, dependability, initiative, and commitment to quality.

The employee must wear and properly maintain a company-approved respirator during repair pump tear down, decontamination, and cleaning operations in accordance with company safety procedures, training requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Pay:

$24.50 - $26.50 per hour
