Industrial Maintenance Technician We are searching for a first and second shift technician. Precision Impacts LLC is looking for a dependable, hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong focus on industrial electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, machine wiring, automation, and robotics . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment at the machine and control-panel level. The technician will diagnose electrical, controls, robotic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently. Strong electrical troubleshooting and industrial wiring experience is an important qualification for this position. Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery and robotic systems is highly preferred. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, automated machinery, and robotic systems Diagnose electrical, controls, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment failures Troubleshoot 24VDC and industrial AC control circuits Use PLC software and machine diagnostics to identify inputs, outputs, faults, interlocks, and sequence issues Troubleshoot PLC I/O, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, solenoids, safety circuits, and field wiring Read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts Trace machine wiring and identify failed or intermittent electrical components Troubleshoot robotic cells, including robot faults, I/O signals, sensors, safety devices, and communication with PLC-controlled equipment Diagnose and replace motors, sensors, proximity switches, photo eyes, relays, contactors, switches, cables, and other electrical components Troubleshoot VFDs, motor starters, motor controls, and associated wiring Perform electrical testing using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment Perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery, automation equipment, and robotic systems Assist with control panel wiring, machine modifications, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations Assist with installing and wiring sensors, motors, drives, safety devices, and other machine components Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and help implement permanent corrective actions Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime through effective troubleshooting Perform mechanical repairs involving bearings, belts, gearboxes, motors, pneumatic components, and other machine systems Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Communicate equipment problems, repairs, and improvement opportunities with the team Follow electrical, robotic, machine safety, and lockout/tagout procedures Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications Previous industrial maintenance, controls, automation, manufacturing maintenance, or similar hands-on experience Strong industrial electrical and machine wiring experience Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits using schematics and a multimeter Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and wiring diagrams Understanding of industrial control components including sensors, relays, contactors, switches, solenoids, motors, and safety devices Experience working with industrial machinery and automated equipment Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to systematically diagnose equipment problems Comfortable working inside industrial electrical control panels Comfortable using multimeters, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Mechanical troubleshooting and repair ability Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of troubleshooting problems independently Strong attention to safety, quality, and equipment reliability Preferred Experience PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics PLC ladder logic and I/O troubleshooting Industrial robotics and robotic cells Robot-to-PLC I/O and controls troubleshooting Electrical control panels and industrial machine wiring 24VDC control circuits Motors and motor controls VFDs and variable-speed motor systems Sensors, proximity switches, photo eyes, relays, contactors, and solenoids Machine safety circuits, safety relays, light curtains, and interlocks Industrial communication networks and automated equipment Pneumatic systems and electrically controlled pneumatic components HMI troubleshooting Preventative maintenance programs Equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrades Welding or fabrication experience What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can do more than replace parts. We want a technician who can open an electrical schematic, connect to or diagnose a PLC-controlled machine, trace I/O and wiring, troubleshoot a robotic cell, identify the root cause of a fault, and get equipment safely back into production. The right person will take ownership of equipment reliability and be comfortable troubleshooting problems across electrical, PLC, robotic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems .
