Job Description

Overview Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This is a full-time direct-hire position located at or near our Hoover Road facility in Milan, Ohio. Benefits begin upon start. Work hours are typically 7:00AM till 3:30PM Monday thru Friday, with overtime and 2 shift work potential, based on workload. The successful applicant will work closely for an extended duration with more senior personnel to gain knowledge and skills applicable to their field while supporting the reactivation and operation of a world-class government-owned aerospace research and test facility. Responsibilities Responsibilities Assist in the fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems such as: Low and medium voltage AC power systems DC power systems PLCs Raceway and Conduit Systems Illumination/lighting Transformers Generators Switchgear Breakers, switches, relays, starters, and field devices Assist in the performance of: Reverse-Engineering of existing systems Wire crimping and termination Motor maintenance
Instrumentation:
Work with devices such as valve limit switches, pressure transducers, valve control loops, vacuum and flow switches, proximity detectors, flame and combustible gas detectors, photocells, thermocouples, transducers, etc. Ability to learn how to test, diagnose, evaluate, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems when necessary using blue prints and testing equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, meggars, oscilloscopes, etc. Learn how to prepare sketches and drawings using appropriate symbols of location and wiring and equipment. Learn how to plan and install conduit for electrical and instrumentation systems for facilities and test stands. Qualifications Qualifications Ability to learn elements of: NFPA 70 "National Electric Code"
NFPA 70E
"Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace" OSHA Standards IEEE Standards ISO9001:2000 or AS91000 Quality Systems Ability to learn to read and interpret electrical drawings, sketches, and technical documentation Completion of vocational or technical school relevant to electrical or controls installations is a plus.
Mandatory Qualifications:
High School graduate, GED or equivalent Interest in pursuing a career as an Electrical Engineering Technician Must be a US Citizen
