The Automation Tech will primarily be responsible for the Setup, Operation and Troubleshooting of Automated and Robotic Equipment on the Production floor. This will include upkeep of Robotic Equipment, End-of-Arm Tooling and Teaching Robot Positions. The Automation Tech reports to the Manufacturing Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Diagnose and Troubleshoot Equipment issues on the production floor
- Adjust Robot Programs
- Install End of Arm tooling
- Perform equipment modifications using hand and power tools
- Setup Robot Cells on a job specific basis
- Maintain pneumatic and electrical components on the Robot Cells
- Utilize a forklift to move a Robot Cell
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma (or equivalent), Technical degree (robotics, automation, electrical, maintenance) or equivalent experience
- Must have some understanding of automation systems: mechanical equipment, tooling, robotics, controls, software, etc.
- Robot Programming experience -Fanuc preferred
- Understanding of pneumatic and electrical circuits and components
- Ability to use hand tools to adjust equipment
- Ability to diagnose and fix issues with equipment
- Must be able to work safely in a production environment; must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties
- Good organizational skills - must have ability to determine priorities, manage time properly, and multi-task. stand, stoop, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with positive outcomes
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Humidity level may be elevated during summer months.
- Work closely with maintenance, production, and plant manager
- Exposure to loud noise levels, at times
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- This position requires long periods of standing and walking The pay range for this role is: 20 - 27 USD per hour(J&O Rittman)
