Clarificion from the agency This position is open to current onboard federal technicians of the Oklahoma Army Nional Guard assigned to the AASF #2 within the military grades of E-4 through E-6. Duties Help The purpose of this position is to serve as shop chief over a small organizional in the Logistics function of the Army Aviion Support Facility (AASF)/Aviion Classificion Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD) with responsibility for the overall shop operion. Oversees and directs the work of one or more Electronics Mechanics, WG-2604-11 who are assigned to the shop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop, which, is then completed, by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Determines approaches, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner. Independently determines approprie maintenance procedures. Estimes time, equipment and merial requirements. Devises and maintains plans and records. Provides recommendions and input to the supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position description changes, disciplinary actions, and leave. Performs the full range of shop work. Performs in-process, final inspection, and clear stus symbols certifying work performed by others in shop. Implements safety regulory requirements. Ensures th other workers in the shop wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Prepares for, and participes in, various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. Performs additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment. Serves as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. : Experience or training which demonstres the applicants knowledge of electrical or electronic theory, knowledge of common testing procedures, skill in the use of hand tools of the electronics trade, and skill in reading schemics.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Experience or training in utilizing principles, basic functions and applicion of theory of electronic systems or equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. Experience in making mechanical repairs th required the use of precision measuring and calibring equipment. Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviion meters, complex special test panels, etc. Experience which demonstres the ability to interpret technical manuals, specificions, and publicions. In addition to the knowledge and skills found the journeyman level, the ability to plan and accomplish a functional shop maintenance program is essential.
