Job Description
Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in radio frequency technology with an international presence. Our products are used in wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems. We are currently seeking a Product Engineering Technician to join our team in Akron, PA. It is an exciting time to join Rosenberger North America! The Product Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers. The Technician creates and revises product drawings, BOMs, and technical data sheets. They will assist in product development and testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate written and/or verbal documentation from customers and engineers to ensure product meets desired requirements. Assists with organization and storage of customer documentation. Create parts and BOMs in the ERP system for quotes, orders, or samples to assist Quoting/Engineering. Create and maintain production drawings including calculating/verifying product requirements. Create and maintain product configuration tools and master database(s). Build, evaluate, and test samples created to verify compliance with customer / engineering requirements. Assist in CAPA (corrective action / preventative action), driven by QA. Act as a liaison between Engineering and other departments regarding processes and technical details. Assist in the creation of other documents (templates, procedures, work instructions). Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Associates Degree in a technical discipline required, or equivalent experience. Prior manufacturing experience preferred. RF/Coax product experience a plus. Experience with 3D CAD, Creo/PARAMETRIC preferred. Other 3D CAD experience (e.g., Solidworks) also accepted. AutoCAD a plus. Knowledge of soldering, particularly electrical or electronic products. Cable or wire assembly experience a plus. Knowledge of the cable industry, requirements, and standards, includingIPC/WHMA-A-620
preferred. IPC endorsement a plus. Understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications. GD&T a plus. Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel and Word; PowerPoint and Visio a plus). Experience with an ERP system.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent analytical and creative thinking, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and strong attention to detail. Ability to reason through and identify root causes of issues. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines and react quickly to changing priorities with flexibility. Maintains regular, predictable attendance. Effectively communicate in English with reading comprehension. Bilingual a plus.Job Type:
