Job Description
Job Title:
PLC Technician Role & Responsibilities:
- This position is located in a manufacturing plant.
- Responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the plant's process control and drive programs.
- Provide the programming for plant process control equipment.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new PLC technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with impacted stakeholders around needs, project status, etc.
- Support the plant's networking and computer systems as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification or specialized education in process control is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability with the engineering, programming, and implementation of industrial control systems.
- Proven experience with control systems components, ladder logic programming, HMI programming and their applications.
- Aptitude for instrumentation and controls design.
- Well developed aptitude around MO computer applications, Project and AutoCAD.
- Ability to troubleshoot and install electrical circuits up to 480V.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodology is a plus.
- Self-starter, with excellent organization skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
