Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Experienced Maintenance Person to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of building systems and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry will be essential in delivering top-notch maintenance services that support a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to prevent system failures. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold building integrity and aesthetics. Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage to ensure proper operation. Operate hand tools and power tools skillfully for various maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and HVAC controls. Lead or assist with maintenance projects involving electrical work, HVAC system repairs, or facilities equipment upgrades while coordinating with team members or contractors as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or staff and communicating clearly about work progress. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, welding, carpentry, and general mechanical tasks. Hands-on knowledge of electrical equipment repair including troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems—including their repair and troubleshooting—and building interior maintenance. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies to ensure timely parts availability for repairs. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret mechanical diagrams for complex systems. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance & repair, painting (including residential painting), and facilities equipment upkeep. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide junior team members or coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
