The position will primarily work during normal business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, but may require occasional off-hours and weekend work, and travel. The goal of the Metrology Engineer is to maintain, test, and repair a variety of instrumentation and equipment. Responsibilities and Authorities The Metrology Engineer is responsible for and has the authority to: Executing calibration procedures and methods according to detailed specifications and technical requirements. Analyzing and interpreting data and other information in order to complete calibration procedures. Troubleshooting, installing, and repairing mechanical components. Supporting and maintaining the rental and demo equipment inventory. Supporting the rental equipment process. Quoting service/calibration to customers. Shipping products back to customers.
Requirements Education/Experience/Skills:
Previous technical experience or related degree preferred Ability to maintain accurate calibration records and supporting documentation, with a clear understanding of calibration's impact on data accuracy and reliability. Must be comfortable using a computer, with experience using Microsoft Excel & Word Strong written & speaking skills, with fluent English & comfort in explaining in a professional manner to customers Strong attention to detail & ability to self-check work Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
