Job Description

The opportunity has arisen for an Automation Engineer, based at our manufacturing facility in Latrobe PA. Role Overview The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automated systems and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. They program, test, and troubleshoot automation equipment such as PLCs, robotics, and control systems while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. The role involves analyzing workflow data, collaborating with engineering and production teams, and implementing solutions that reduce manual effort and operational costs. Automation Engineers play a key role in advancing manufacturing capabilities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. What you will Bring Minimum 2 + years of experience with automation and robots in a manufacturing setting; Background in Mechatronics and Automation Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) e.g., Allen Bradley. Experience with troubleshooting secondary equipment, robots, etc Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics. Strong troubleshooting ability for mechanical, electrical, and software-related automation issues. Possess strong mechanical aptitude and be mechanically-inclined. Experience with lock-out/tag-out procedures. Must have the ability to regularly lift 75 pounds. Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Fast-paced environment.
