Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician, where your expertise will keep bustling foodservice operations running smoothly! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial kitchen equipment across various client sites. Your mechanical aptitude and technical skills will ensure appliances and systems operate efficiently, supporting our clients' success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work independently in the field, delivering top-tier service and solutions that keep commercial kitchens at peak performance. Responsibilities A minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands on maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment. Install new commercial kitchen appliances and equipment, including refrigeration units, ovens, dishwashers, and ventilation systems, following detailed schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment issues using electrical, plumbing, mechanical knowledge, and hand tools. Conduct routine maintenance on refrigeration systems, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical parts to prevent breakdowns. Use ladder work safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during installations or repairs. Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to diagnose system faults accurately. Operate company vehicles such as box trucks for delivery of parts or equipment to client sites while adhering to safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols. Document all service activities thoroughly in company systems, including detailed reports on troubleshooting steps taken and parts used. Maintain a stock of necessary tools and replacement parts for efficient service calls; manage inventory during field visits. Experience Minimum of 5 years of hands on repair and maintenance experience within commercial kitchens. Proven experience in appliance repair, installation, or maintenance within commercial kitchens or similar environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using your personal power tools and hand tools for repair tasks. Familiarity with refrigeration systems, electrical work, plumbing, and equipment troubleshooting methods. Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams accurately for diagnostics and repairs. Experience operating company vehicles such as box trucks or similar delivery vehicles safely and responsibly. Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices specific to commercial kitchen environments is highly desirable. Previous field service experience working independently across multiple job sites is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying backgrounds. Pay:
$28.88 - $34.78 per hour
