Overview Join our dynamic team as an In Home Repair Technician specializing in Electrical systems! Duties Perform comprehensive electrical diagnostics using specialized tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify issues accurately. Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, electronic equipment, and low voltage circuits within residential settings. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting diagrams to guide repairs effectively. Utilize hand tools and soldering equipment to replace faulty components, repair wiring, and ensure proper electrical connections. Test electronic systems and equipment for proper operation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems, including inspections, cleaning, and preventative repairs to extend equipment lifespan. Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining repair processes, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during each visit. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on electrical repairs and troubleshooting in residential or commercial environments. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and electronic testing devices. Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading, interpretation of blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting principles. Skilled in electrical soldering, circuit testing, and repairing electronic equipment with attention to detail. Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service appointments efficiently. Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity working on AC/DC electrical systems and low voltage wiring. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; able to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic documentation and possibly computer networking concepts related to smart home systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to navigate various residential locations confidently.
