Job Summary Our third generation, fee-for-service, restorative practice is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our team. We are searching for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who believes in relationship-based, comprehensive dentistry. We are a tight-knit group of hardworking team players, and we are cross-trained! The ideal candidate must have a passion for providing a professional and comfortable experience for patients. Strong verbal skills are necessary to form lasting relationships with patients and confidently discuss clinical procedures and restorative treatment options. Our office is state of the art with digital x-rays, EMS GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy), intraoral cameras, iTero scanners, and digital records. Our team works a 3.5-day week between the hours of 7 AM-5:30 PM and no weekends. We are adding to our team and are flexible with availability. Job Type:

Full or Part-time Duties Assist dentist during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Eaglesoft; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes accurately. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, materials, and supplies efficiently during procedures. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental health. Maintain clinical cleanliness by adhering to infection control protocols including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks such as patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, and managing patient flow to enhance clinic efficiency. Operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners with precision and safety awareness. Provisional crown and bridge fabrication Ensure compliance with all healthcare infection prevention policies while maintaining high standards of clinical confidentiality policies. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry or specialty practice. Demonstrated proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, digital imagery, instrument processing, and sterilization techniques. Familiarity with Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology related to various specialties like prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implant procedures. Experience in handling medical imaging devices including X-ray units and 3D scanners within a clinical setting. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices along with aseptic technique adherence. Excellent communication skills for effective patient communication and team collaboration.

Pay:

$26.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
