Lead Technicians play a key role in handling advanced repairs and ensuring service coverage across the platform. Position Overview The Lead Automotive Technician is a senior-level role responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services. This position also supports service coverage for high-priority and unassigned jobs. This role operates with a flexible, variable schedule based on customer demand . Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostics & Repair Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across various vehicle types Identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues Complete work in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines Handle complex or escalated repair jobs Service Coverage Complete assigned service appointments Support unassigned or urgent repair requests Assist during high-demand periods Customer Interaction Communicate clearly with customers about repairs and recommendations Maintain professionalism and service quality standards Represent the Mocanik brand in the field Platform Usage Use the Mocanik platform to manage assigned jobs Update job status, notes, and completion details Scheduling & Work Structure Flexible, variable-hour scheduling based on demand Hours are not guaranteed May range from 0 to 40+ hours per week depending on workload Overtime paid in accordance with applicable law Compensation & Benefits $40 - $55 per hour Payroll with taxes withheld Workers' compensation coverage Unemployment insurance coverage Employer-paid payroll tax contributions Year-end W-2 provided RequirementsExperience 3+ years of automotive repair experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Preferred Certifications ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
