Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance/Automation Technician to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of automated and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise in electrical systems, industrial mechanics, and automation technologies will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs involving electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, welding (stick welding), and equipment calibration. Read electrical blueprints and schematics to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts by analyzing system failures and recommending improvements for automation processes. Operate industrial lifts such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated equipment or perform maintenance tasks at height. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime while maintaining high safety standards during maintenance activities. Assist in technical sales support by providing insights into equipment capabilities or upgrades when needed. Skills Extensive experience working in manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical blueprints. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tasks, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics reading tools, and other diagnostic devices. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, pneumatic troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical components like gears, belts, bearings, etc. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex equipment issues quickly and accurately. Excellent customer service mindset when interacting with internal teams or external vendors for technical support or parts procurement. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with electrical systems maintenance is essential. Industrial mechanic experience combined with mechanical knowledge enhances problem-solving capabilities on diverse machinery.
